What do you do at MPIC?

I am the welding shop manager. I also drive trucks and ensure the safety of the offenders.

What are your credentials/education/experience for working in your position?

Graduate of Gentry High School

Graduate of MDCC (certified: welder/air condition & refrigeration)

CDL Class A Driver

What is something people in your industry must deal with that you want to fix?

Getting to work on time. I listen carefully without adding judgement.

What do you like about working at MPIC?

I feel really relaxed in my role here. My work environment is very transparent.

What’s your background?

I grew up in a small farming community known as Inverness, MS. I worked sixteen years at Modern Line Products as a welder and fabricator worker. The community I lived in was a working class neighborhood where people grew fruits and vegetables. My favorite was fresh mustard greens.

What are the values that drive you?

As a manager, I believe that it is my responsibility to mentor, show respect, seek feedback, set clear goals, be open for communication and to be open to criticism from others. In addition, being open to suggestions is trait that I value.

Hunting, talk radio, profitable podcasting

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Hunting. Hunting gives me as sense of accomplishment, adventure and relaxation. Hunting takes my mind off stress and worries.
